RECYCLING CO-MINGLED RECYCLABLES: GLASS – Clear, amber and green from beverage and food jars PLASTIC – PET/PETE (1) and HDPE (2) (bottle or jug type containers only) ALUMINUM, STEEL & BIMETAL CANS – Beverage and food cans   REMEMBER – Place your container at the curb on your scheduled collection day.   NEWSPAPER – Newspapers, including all the inserts that come with the newspaper, must be recycled. Tie in bundles or put in a paper grocery and place next to the recycling bin. IMPORTANT – The lids and metal rings, from the rinsed cans ands and bottles, must be removed. LARGE BULK ITEMS – One bulk item may be placed out per week on trash pickup day. Call J. P. Mascaro & Sons in advance at 610-434-2501. Freon must be removed from refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers by an appliance dealer or refrigeration mechanic and the appliance marked with a sticker (Federal law.)   Do not place recyclables in plastic bags. NEED A SECOND BIN? Please contact the Municipal Office. KING STREET DROP OFF CENTER – Recyclable items may be dropped off at the King Street Recycling Center. In addition to the items listed, leaves, yard waste (not grass), Christmas trees and clean fill may be brought to the Recycling Center. Also, two tires per household may be dropped off. The tires must be dry, off the rim and cannot exceed sixteen-inches. The Center is opened every Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon. During Eastern Standard Time the Center is opened on every Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. During Daylight Savings Time the Center is opened every Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
