The Northampton Fire Department is a department of 45 dedicated volunteer firefighters. They are under the direct supervision of Fire Chief Keith Knoblach. Another portion of the Fire Department is the Fire Police. Within this department are 18 men and women who volunteer their time to assist the firefighters with closing streets and directing traffic. As always, the Fire Department urges you to use extreme safety when dealing with fire and to regularly change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
