LARGE BULK ITEMS - One bulk item may be placed out per week on trash pickup day. Call Republic Services (484-273-3940) with any questions. Freon must be removed from refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers by an appliance dealer or refrigeration mechanic and the appliance marked with a sticker (Federal law.)
Televisions that are in working condition can be donated to the Salvation Army.

KING STREET DROP OFF CENTER Recyclable items may be dropped off at the King Street Recycling Center. In addition to the items listed, leaves, yard waste (not grass), Christmas trees and clean fill may be brought to the Recycling Center. Also, two tires per household may be dropped off. The tires must be dry, off the rim and cannot exceed sixteen-inches.
The Center is opened every Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon.
The Center is opened on every Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. - during Eastern Standard Time. The Center is opened every Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. - during Daylight Savings Time.
FIRST REGIONAL COMPOST AUTHORITY - Northampton Borough is a member. This regional compost site is located at 6701 Weaversville Road (across from Colony Drive) in Allen Township. The Winter (November to April) Hours are: Tuesday & Thursday 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. and Saturday 8 A.M. to Noon. The Summer (April to November) Hours are: Monday 8 A.M. to 4 P.M., Thursday Noon to 6:00 P.M., Friday 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. and Saturday 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. Grass clippings are accepted. They are closed on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. www.frcaweb.org
